Not sure whats going on, but it seems like there is an influx of really good bands lately. I hate going to shows, I hate the scene. But lately it seems that every day there is a new show I need to go to. Sheer Terror Funural was amazing. Its been a while since I had seen Murphys Law, they were as good as ever.
Social Distortion is playing Thursday. Saturday is Broken Heroes, Niblick and Mental Decay. Then today I find out that Blitz is playing in November. All that plus Oi Skampilation anniversary. I haven't been to many shows in the past few years, now I don't know if i'll be able to make it to all the ones I want to go to.

At CBGB's I felt like I was 17 again while I was dancing and singing along. I felt like the old man that I am once I got back to the bar and I couldn't breath and everything hurt. Maybe its because all these old bands are starting to play around again, but I can't wait for the next show.

Haven't done this in a while...I think I will be posting more due to the fact that the in-laws are moving this weekend and the anxiety is already starting. After 3 months I may just go on a killing spree! I've playing a lot of poker online. As a matter of fact I am playing right now as I write this. Very low limit games, but its a lot of fun.

Anyway, I don't think i've spoken to anyone on here in months, so comment and let me know how your summer was...if your a new friend, tell me something about yourself.

Liberal Quotes...

Were we misled leading up to the war in Iraq? Check out these statements made by the very same Democrats who are now pointing fingers. If the liberals leaders in this country have a monopoly on the truth…then they seem to only tell it when it's politically expedient.

"Saddam's goal ... is to achieve the lifting of U.N. sanctions while retaining and enhancing Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs. We cannot, we must not and we will not let him succeed." -- Madeline Albright, 1998

"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998

"Iraq is not the only nation in the world to possess weapons of mass destruction, but it is the only nation with a leader who has used them against his own people." -- Tom Daschle in 1998

"Even today, Iraq is not nearly disarmed. Based on highly credible intelligence, UNSCOM [the U.N. weapons inspectors] suspects that Iraq still has biological agents like anthrax, botulinum toxin, and clostridium perfringens in sufficient quantity to fill several dozen bombs and ballistic missile warheads, as well as the means to continue manufacturing these deadly agents. Iraq probably retains several tons of the highly toxic VX substance, as well as sarin nerve gas and mustard gas. This agent is stored in artillery shells, bombs, and ballistic missile warheads. And Iraq retains significant dual-use industrial infrastructure that can be used to rapidly reconstitute large-scale chemical weapons production." -- Ex-Un Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter in 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." -- From a letter signed by Joe Lieberman, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara A. Milulski, Tom Daschle, & John Kerry among others on October 9, 1998

I'm so tired and lethargic today. I am completely un-motivated. I want to go home a sleep. Everyone is annoying me today. I better leave soon before I lose my shit and beat someone into a coma. I have a 4 o'clock meeting....Not sure if I can make it...This week is so fucking busy...I need a smoke...

I know its been a while since i've updated. I haven't really felt like it much lately. I have been lurking in other peoples journals and keeping up with my friends list. So whats been going on....

Tonight Allison is getting her forearm done. She is really excited. I am going to book an appointment with Joe in a few weeks to finish up my arm. Then I can finally move on to all of the other areas I have planned out. My goal is that before we leave for Vegas on June 26th I want to have my Half sleeve finished, my right forearm done and have my chest finished. Then when I get back I will work on finishing my left arm.

So yeah, we are all booked up for vegas. We are leaving on June 26th and coming back July 5th. That is going to be a fantastic trip. Rev. Horton Heat is playing while we are out so we plan on checking that out....Plus Allison has been doing research on all the titty bars out there we plan on hitting them all.

Last weekend I copied 2 cd's Junior brought over that he picked up while he was out at SXSW, Eddie Spaghetti's solo record and Stevie Tombstone. Now I am not a really big fan of country, but both of these records are really good. The Eddie Spaghetti record is almost all covers but its a lot of fun to listen to. I have become completely obsessed with Stevie Tombstone. That is by far one of the best records I have heard in a very long time. The song writing is amazing. It sounds like a cross between Bob Dylan (i'm a huge Dylan fan....fuck you) and Social Distortion. Definately check it out.

Thats really all I have for now...Maybe i'll update again in a few months...

Best thing I read today...

The following appeared in the Durham, NC local paper as a letter to the editor.
Liberals claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war. They complain about his prosecution of it. One liberal recently claimed Bush was the worst president in U.S. history. Let's clear up one point: We didn't start the war on terror. Try to remember, it was started by terrorists on 9/11/01.
Let's look at the "worst" president and mismanagement claims.
FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.
Truman finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,333 per year.
John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975,58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.
Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
In the two years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people. We lost 600 soldiers. Bush did all this abroad while not allowing another terrorist attack at home.
